Low Quality Video Streams on Android
If you're having issues with streaming on TVP for your Android Phone, try the following steps:
- Check that you are connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or 3G, you can check your wifi network by selecting Settings>Wi-Fi
- If on 3G, you may not have a fast enough connection to stream content and should try switching to Wi-Fi, or move to an area with a better signal.
- If on Wi-Fi, please confirm the Wi-Fi works by opening Chrome (or another browser) and load tvplayer.com. If this loads, please try to use the app again.

TVPlayer uses what is known as multi-bitrate streaming, meaning that each video stream has multiple different qualities within it.
The streams contain a Low, Medium and High-quality variants.
If you are watching TVPlayer and have a slow or weak connection, you will likely be using the Low-quality stream, but if your signal improves, the stream will automatically increase the quality upwards on its own, you don't need to reconnect. This is also the same if you are moving from a good quality signal to a slower one, the stream will adjust on its own.
